No. They are the same.
They have the same effects but their occurrence and reasons they occur is what classifies them as panic and anxiety.

What are the major differences between “narcissism” and ” social anxiety”?

2

Question by Romeo.: What are the major differences between “narcissism” and ” social anxiety”?

They both have a lot to do with self-absorption etc… Both narcissists and social anxious people are very conscious of themselves and care a lot about what others think of them. Both can suffer from low self-esteem and try to appear perfect to the outside world while in fact they aren’t.
@Mattew Social anxious people are self absorbent with the belief that they are being watch, criticize, judge……..in the end its also all about them and how they feel. It’s a from of narcissism.
Also a person with narcissistic disorder will not do “well” in social situation just life the social phobic.

Narcissists are ate up with themselves, everything they do is for themselves no matter who gets in the way. It is selfishness taken to the extreme. Social anxiety is worrying about what people will think of you taken to the extreme. So one is self center, the other is worry over what people see in you to extreme anxiety. So, they are almost oppisites

Prisoners of a Different Kind: The Difference Between Agoraphobia and Social Anxiety Disorder

Agoraphobia and social anxiety disorder (SAD) share some common symptoms but in other ways are very different. Agoraphobics fear being in places where escape would be difficult if they were to have a panic attack.

For example, an agoraphobic might fear being in an elevator or a crowd of people because if panic were to strike, there would be no way to leave.

People with SAD might also fear being in a crowd but for a different reason. They might feel like the people in the crowd are watching or judging them. They might worry that they will embarrass themselves somehow by behaving in an inappropriate way.

Most agoraphobics feel better when they are in the company of someone they know well. People with SAD may feel worse having a friend along, because that friend is just another set of eyes.

The disorders are both incapacitating but in different ways. Agoraphobics are prisoners in their own homes, while those with SAD often live in a prison of solitude.

What do you think? Do you live with agoraphobia or SAD?
